Web3 Daily - Moxie Week 1 Summary

Experimental daily podcast focused on interesting Web3 news and launches - this week Moxie from Zero to Hero

Hello friends,

this is a summary of the experimental week of daily podcasting. It went well, so I will continue and hope to see some of you as guests on the daily show. It's 5-10mins so a small daily dose 😀

You see, I've been spending enough time researching and answering questions about this new project launched on Farcaster called Moxie Protocol that I figured, let's try show'n'tell - because most people just write about it. I enjoyed it so far let's keep it up for say 3 more weeks and let's see after a month 😉

Let's jump into daily summaries for the week:

Day 1 - What is Moxie protocol, Moxie token, and how to claim Moxie airdrop

This first episode covers how to claim the Moxie airdrop, the role of the Moxie pass (NFT), and the vesting process for Moxie tokens. It is basically a jumpstart for anyone interested in trying Moxie.

Don't worry if you're not eligible for the first two Moxie airdrops. You can buy Moxie on DEXs—namely on Uniswap and Aerodrome + on centralized exchanges like KuKoin. Also, I'm sure there will be opportunities in the future.

Day 2 - How and why bid in Fan Token Auctions

On the second day, I talked about what can be done with Moxie tokens which you claimed yesterday (or bought or were gifted) and that all airdroped tokens are locked in the vesting contract for 180 days period.

What's beautiful and well thought out is the fact that all tokens locked in the vesting contract can still be used to bid on fan token auctions or to buy fan tokens.

You should create a free account on Airstack because it's a bit more comfortable to browse through fan tokens, running auctions, etc. The main reason to bid & buy a Fan token of a creator or a channel is to earn rewards - basically participate on their success.

Day 2 extra-short addition - how to claim tokens after auction ends

Basically, you get a direct message (DC - direct cast) on Farcaster from Airstack account with a frame to claim:

a/ your newly won tokens or
b/ refund of Moxie tokens you used in the bid.

Hence your link is unique and I can't put it in here 😉

Day 3 - Livestream with Jaadasss - a practical guide

This was the first livestream I did, and Judas was a brave first guest on the Web3 Daily show. We streamed to X and YouTube, and it took us almost 40mins to go through all the steps of checking how many tokens Jaadie has from the airdrop, signing to Airstack web, bidding on one Fan token auction, and buying one Fan token that is already on the market.

See, it's not only our fault that it took so long. We talk a lot and slowly, but Farcaster frames are not the fastest either. Anyway, I'm including it here for completeness, but you don't need to watch it because I've shown you the same things on Day 1 and Day 2.

Day 4 - Installing and using Moxie cast-action

On Day 4 of Web3 Daily, I explain how to claim daily rewards and install the Moxie Cast Action. I will show you how to use the cast-action on different casts and provide an overview of the features and functions available.

Day 5 - How to increase or cancel your auction bids

On the last day of the week, I recap the topics covered in the previous four Web3 Daily—MOXIE edition episodes, and I show you how to increase or cancel your Fan token bid during running auctions.

So this is it for the Week 1 of Web3 Daily experimental podcast. Next week, I'll explore new useful frames, and we'll talk about concrete Fan Tokens and how to choose whom to bid on or whom to buy. That should be interesting! 😉

Till next time, stay positive! 😀

BFG
